HALF BARREL
The largest of them all, the 15.5 gallon Half Barrel Keg is probably what you think of when you picture of a beer keg. This is the vessel that’s been used for generations, and it’s likely that you’ve served yourself a red Solo cup or two from one of these beauties. It will also fit any standard-sized kegerator.
HALF BARREL KEG AKA 1/2 BARREL, FULL KEG
This 1/2 Barrel serves about 124 16oz Pints which is equal to 165 cans/bottles.
Keg Sizes
The Quarter Barrel Keg is better known as a pony keg. The shape of a pony keg resembles that of a full-sized keg, while being much easier to move manually. The 1/4 Barrel is ideal for parties, small events, or for when you want a vairety when ordering multiple kegs.
QUARTER BARREL KEG AKA 1/4 BARREL, PONY KEG
This 1/4 Barrel serves about 64 16oz Pints which is equal to 82 cans/bottles.
QUARTER BARREL
The tall, cylindrical keg was originally developed distribute soda like Pepsi or Coke. However, with a five-gallon capacity and a design that’s easy to maintain, 5 gal. kegs have become very popular with local craft brewers and cider makers. The 5 gal. cylinder allows Micro Brews and cider makers to skip the process of bottling and let their customer enjoy their brews on draft.
